According to a December 2003 study done by the Innovation Center on Activism, people who are involved in civic projects in their community have a higher sense of achievement. The program also suggests that civic activism reflects a deeper commitment by the entire community. Changing someone’s attitude from “I don’t think I can do anything” to “I know how to make a difference” is exactly what the Florida Public Space Project is all about.
