to the Project SUCCEED website. The Project SUCCEED coalition includes the University of Miami School of Education (SOE) Department of Teaching and Learning, the University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), United Teachers of Dade (UTD), and the Miami Museum of Science.

Our model includes STAR Scholarships to aid with recruitment, collaborative curriculum reform, Learning Communities, Professional Development Schools, a SUPPORT network for new teachers, co-sponsored Summer Institutes, and Professional Development Centers. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive approach to teacher education that enables prospective teachers to see the "big picture" and understand where they fit on a professional development continuum that begins with recruitment, continues with prospective teacher education and subject area learning, moves to novice teachers, and finishes with expert, mentor teachers. All are connected.
