Since 2003, Paul Orehovec has served as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Continuing Studies. He also teaches in the School of Education’s Enrollment Management Program.
Orehovec joined the University of Miami in 1986 as director of financial assistance services, and has taught in the Department of Educational and Psychological Studies since 1997. He earned his M.Ed. degree at the University of Miami, and completed a program at the Nantucket Enrollment Management Institute.
He received the 2001 Miami Commitment Recognition Award, and was selected for the 500 Role Models of Excellence Project, Miami-Dade Public Schools. He received the University’s Patrick Masala Award in 1999 and inducted into the Iron Arrow Honor Society in 1998.
A consultant to various colleges and universities, Orehovec has served on the faculty of The College Board Enrollment Management Workshop, and The College Board Summer Institute. He has presented programs on pricing, modeling enrollment and other topics to The College Board Summer Institute. He is a member of The College Board, was chairman of the College Scholorship Service Assembly, chairman of the CSS Council, and served as a judge for the Citibank Success Fund/Dade Public Education Fund.
He has co-authored numerous publications, including, “Enrollment Growth Will Come from Nontraditional Students,” “Retention Initiative Should Build Healthy Relationships,” and “Educating Family on Financial Aid Can Influence Enrollment,” all in Enrollment Management Report
