The Exposition Universelle, Paris 1900 was part of a remarkable tradition of International Expositions that were held in Europe and America from the middle of the Nineteenth Century to the time of the First World War. The Exposition Universelle, Paris 1900 is most remembered for its influence on the Art Deco movement and architectural gems like Eliel Saarinen's Finnish pavilion. In the illustrations and photographs included in this section you can get a sense of the architecture for the fair and what it might have been like to stroll through its exhibits and pavillions.

The main book in English that describes the Paris 1900 Exposition is Richard D. Marshall's Paris 1900: The Great World's Fair (Toronto: University of Toronto Press, 1967).
