Kensington Park Elementary is a pre-K through fifth grade school. It is a special education center. Located in an urban area of the northwest section of Miami-Dade, the school serves approximately 1500 students. The school is a multicultural community centered in a Hispanic community of first and second generation immigrant families. Developing a multilevel reading skills program is the current focus of the collaboration. An additional goal of Kensington Park is to upgrade their technological capabilities.

Kensington Park Elementary School was selected by M-DCPS to be a pilot school for the PACES program. Thus, they feel they can make a substantial contribution to Project SUCCEED by providing professional development in PACES to the teachers at the other UM PDSs.
