Dear Friends,

I have largely left you alone over the past week or better during Laurenís 1,000 mile, 39-day Walk In My Shoes walk through Florida. Today, she is somewhere between 550 and 600 miles into the walk and largely in the middle of nowhere (somewhere between Ocala and Gainesville). She reaches Gainesville tonight and will have a large Take Back The Night event on the campus of the University of Florida. She spends a lot of time in Gainesville tomorrow and ends up in St. Augustine at the end of the day on Friday.

I wanted to share a great news link from yesterday that was in Hillsborough County from the local Fox News affiliate, FOX 13. Please click on the link below and look at what sheís doing in Tampa, where she walked with hundreds of people. Fox News

Remember that daily you can click on this link, and you can watch her live stream. You can also click on for a full walk photo chronology. This photo site has already had 300,000+ hits through this morning.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement.

Dear Friends,

As you know, my daughter Lauren began her 1,000 mile, 39 day, Walk In My Shoes walk through Florida on Saturday, March 19th, in Key West. She has already covered close to 300 miles and is closing in on Jupiter today. The Walk is intended to continue her fight to end childhood sexual abuse through awareness and education. The Walk is also intended to urge those who have been abused to speak up, because "it's always ok to tell". The Walk is timed to coincide with National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Laurenís Walk ends on the steps of Florida's Historic Capitol on Tuesday, April 26th, with a large rally.

As I did last year, I will periodically update you and forward videos. You can watch her walk live daily by going to her website and clicking Live Broadcast. You can access her daily photo gallery at the same location or by clicking She has already had over 135,000 hits.

Finally, check out today's update video by clicking Enjoy and thank you for all of your friendship, support, and encouragement of Lauren's Kids as we continue our work of ending childhood sexual abuse.
