|Marsha Talianoff focuses on building effective partnerships with individuals and organizations to support the School of Education. Since joining the University of Miami in 2001, Talianoff has taken an active role in the Schoolís $18.5 million capital campaign to accommodate the growing need for offices, classrooms and services.
Talianoffís other campaign priorities include building philanthropic support for undergraduate and graduate endowed scholarships, masterís and doctoral student fellowships, graduate research fellowships, post-doctoral fellowships, and endowed professorships. She has also assisted the Schoolís UM STARS reading assessment and remediation program.
Talianoff, who earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Miami, has been an active communications and marketing professional for many years, with strong links to community and civic organizations.
Previously, she was director of marketing and public relations and co-owner of the highly rated Normanís restaurant in Coral Gables. She was also founding co-chairperson of the South Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Wine & Food. In the 1990s, Talianoff was administrator of the Coconut Grove Arts Festivalís Visiting Artists Program, which linked professional artists with students in the Dade County School system.
