| Alan Whitney joined the School of Education in 1995 after completing a double Master’s degree program through the University of Miami’s School of Business. He earned a Master of Business Administration, and Master of Science in International Business in 1995.
Alan has been working with computers since 1980. He began networking them in 1989 at Utah State University, working part-time for the Department of Natural Resources and later, for the Math department. Since that time he has specialized in networking and network administration, PC troubleshooting, and web design and administration.
Over the years, Alan has consistently demonstrated an ability to interface between less technically inclined users and administrators and the complex technological concepts necessary for them to function in today’s world. He uses this ability and his troubleshooting skills to resolve the problems for, and maintain the functionality and, sometimes the sanity, of over 200 computer users at the School of Education.
