Jaime is a research associate on the Promoting Science Among English Language Learners (P-SELL) project. P-SELL is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and is a research program designed to help teachers in Miami-Dade implement science. Jaime manages the data for the project and assists in other research activities.

She has worked for the University of Miami since 2001 and has worked on the P-SELL project since 2004.
